Coating Korea 2026 — Korea Advanced Materials Week
Coating Korea 2026 — the 17th International Coating, Adhesive & Film Industry Expo — is South Korea’s largest and most important specialized exhibition for the coatings, adhesives and film industries, organised by Messe eSang and the Korea Adhesive Industry Association. The 2026 edition is held as part of Korea Advanced Materials Week, running concurrently with Surtech Korea (Surface & Painting Industry Expo) and AMTECH (Advanced Material & Tech Week Korea) — making it the most comprehensive gathering for advanced materials and manufacturing industries in Northeast Asia.
The event is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, covering future key industries including semiconductors, displays, secondary batteries, future mobility, shipbuilding and advanced manufacturing. Organised under the support of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy of the Republic of Korea and certified as an international exhibition.
Opening hours: March 25–27, 2026 | Songdo ConvensiA, Central Street 123, Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea.
TINOX® TiO₂ Grades for Korea’s High-Technology Coatings Market
South Korea’s coatings market is defined by world-leading technology intensity — home to the world’s largest display and semiconductor manufacturers, a major global automotive industry and the world’s most competitive shipbuilding sector. At Booth #C06, our technical team presented four TINOX® grades precisely matched to these demanding Korean industrial applications:
- TINOX® R-2290 — Functional & Electronics Coatings
High-purity chloride-process rutile with outstanding UV absorption and exceptional optical scattering efficiency — directly relevant to Korea’s advanced functional coatings sector. South Korea is home to Samsung, SK Hynix and LG Display — global leaders in semiconductor and OLED display manufacturing — driving strong demand for high-purity TiO₂ in protective display coatings, optical barrier films and functional surface treatments. R-2290’s superior purity profile and consistent particle size make it the specification-grade choice for technically demanding Korean industrial coating formulators. - TINOX® CR-1220 — Automotive OEM Coatings
Specialty chloride-process rutile engineered for automotive topcoat and refinish systems meeting the stringent quality standards of Korean OEM paint lines. Hyundai and Kia — South Korea’s global automotive champions — operate highly demanding paint specifications for exterior topcoats, primer-surfacers and plastic component coatings across their domestic and global production facilities. CR-1220 delivers the hiding power, gloss development and long-term UV durability required to pass Korean automotive OEM paint approval processes. - TINOX® R-2160 — Marine & Shipbuilding Protective Coatings
Robust rutile grade for heavy-duty marine and shipbuilding protective coating systems. South Korea is consistently ranked among the world’s top two shipbuilding nations — with companies including HD Hyundai, Samsung Heavy Industries and Hanwha Ocean producing some of the world’s largest vessels. This drives enormous demand for high-performance marine topcoats, anti-corrosion systems and protective coatings on steel structures. R-2160 provides the hiding power, chemical resistance and salt-spray durability required for marine vessel finishing in Korea’s world-class shipyard environment. - TINOX® A-2380 — Functional Films & Advanced Materials
Anatase grade with fine particle size, high purity and photocatalytic properties — directly aligned with Coating Korea 2026’s advanced materials theme. A-2380 is gaining traction in South Korea’s growing functional film sector: self-cleaning architectural coatings, UV-filtering optical films, photocatalytic air purification coatings and antimicrobial surface treatments — application areas where Korean R&D investment is particularly strong and where anatase TiO₂’s photocatalytic activity provides a differentiating performance attribute unavailable from rutile grades.
